Any credit/debit card issuer may choose to charge customers a transaction fee for purchases made in a currency that is not their own.
In some exceptional cases, a card provider may deduct a fee for international purchases made outside of the customer's country or residence, whether in a foreign currency or not. This is rare and we would urge customers to use an alternative card on future purchases.
In some instances, we may be able to issue a refund for part of the charge (up to the value of AUD$50).
For further information regarding transaction fees we suggest to check the Terms and Conditions of your credit card issuer.
